With a Master of Music from the University of Miami, Miriam Porter has
taught voice for 16 years, including four years as an Assistant Professor
at Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois. Her area of expertise
is combining pop and jazz styles with basic vocal and breathing techniques
to increase the student’s/singer’s vocal strength and beauty.
Other areas of teaching include beginning piano (most students being children
between the ages of seven and twelve) and conducting. Teaching beginning
piano to young children has been one of Miriam’s favorite experiences
as a musician. |
