Miriam Porter has been performing professionally since the age of nine--as
a solo artist, background and choir vocalist, and actress. Her list of performances
as a background vocalist is quite varied and includes such artists as Engelbert
Humperdinck, Jars of Clay and Kevin Singleton (with extensive
travel experience touring the US and abroad).
Session work is a large part of Miriam’s performance repertoire. She
has recorded for and with well-known producers (Ron Huff, Greg Nelson, David
Hamilton, Dave Williamson, Larry Goss, Matt Bronlewee, and Israel Houghton
among them) as well as singing on recordings for a variety of artists and commercials
in the Nashville area.
She has also known success as a conductor for choirs and ensembles, directing
more than 30 choirs throughout the last two decades as well as performing in
many more as a choir member and soloist. She has conducted a variety of styles
including classical, jazz, pop, and gospel, with choir sizes ranging from eight
to over one-hundred.
Miriam is also an arranger and composer with expertise covering multiple styles
and genres. |
